Denomination Calls for Gay Marriage!

I got this email from our friends at NC Values Coalition:

“What would you say if I told you that an entire denomination purporting to hold to Christian teachings has filed suit to force same-sex marriage on North Carolina?

Well, that’s exactly what happened today. The United Church of Christ, several members of the clergy, and 6 same-sex couples have filed suit in federal district court in Charlotte seeking to overturn North Carolina’s marriage laws, so that same-sex couples can get married in the church—of all places!

The North Carolina Values Coalition is on the front lines of this battle. We have been answering calls from the press all day today, but we need your help to continue fighting! [http://ncvalues.org/donate/]

This is the third lawsuit filed since August of last year seeking to strike down North Carolina’s marriage laws and impose same-sex marriage on an unwilling population. And it is the first lawsuit in the entire country initiated by a church denomination and members of the clergy as the aggressors in marriage re-definition.

This is sadly, and predictably, the “lawsuit of the week” filed by those who want to impose same-sex marriage on North Carolina, in spite of the fact that 61% of the voters passed the Marriage Amendment 2 years ago. North Carolinians had good reason to protect marriage in our Constitution, recognizing that the union of a man and woman plays an irreplaceable role in the health of society, first of which is the protection of children.

Moreover, it’s both ironic and sad that an entire religious denomination and its clergy who purport holding to Christian teachings on marriage would look to the courts to justify their errant beliefs. These individuals are simply revisionists that distort the teaching of Scripture to justify sexual revolution, not marital sanctity.

We believe the people of North Carolina have spoken on this issue, and the federal courts have no business overturning the will of the people.

We will continue to stand strong in defense of marriage as God designed it—one man and one woman! Please help us continue this fight by making a donation today!

This is so sad on so many levels! If so-called Christians won’t uphold the truths of the Word of God, who will? Do they simply erase Romans 1:21-32 out of their Bibles?

Rom 1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Rom 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
Rom 1:23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
Rom 1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
Rom 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
Rom 1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
Rom 1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
Rom 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
Rom 1:29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
Rom 1:30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
Rom 1:31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
Rom 1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

The Clear Line

As a Bible teacher, I find that there is a clear line between judging a person, and judging doctrine. I am not to judge another, but I can judge doctrine (teaching.) In fact, if someone is not preaching sound Biblical doctrine, the Bible tells me to “mark them,” and avoid them. That is not judging them as a person, that is an admonition to others to keep them safe. The Amplified Bible says: “I appeal to you, brethren, to be on your guard concerning those who create dissensions and difficulties and cause divisions, in opposition to the doctrine (the teaching) which you have been taught. [I warn you to turn aside from them, to] avoid them.” (Romans 16:17 AMP)

As a “for instance,” Joseph Prince is the primary teacher in the world today of what I call “Greasy Grace,” an un-Biblical doctrine. If you are warned that his doctrine is not sound, and that it is is deceiving the church, that does not mean you are condemning him as an individual, it is simply a warning that his deceptive, demonic doctrine is hurtful to the Body of Christ. We should “mark them” and avoid them… and pray that the veil of deception is lifted from their heart and mind.

An Admonition on “Greasy Grace” Teaching…

No matter how big, or well known, a ministry is, no matter what explanation may be attempted; the “Hyper-Grace,” or, as I call it, the “Greasy Grace” doctrine that is invading the church today, can not be excused, and can not be explained away as “benign.” It is, simply, a doctrine of devils, and should be rejected completely. Shake the dust off your feet, and leave it alone.

Merely an Observation…

To my liberal friends, a simple observation: The President recently said that if the Republicans (essentially) don’t support his agenda, then he would have no choice but to continue to use Executive privilege to usurp the Constitutional process and enforce what amounts to “royal edits” that over-ride, and bypass, laws that have been enacted through the, apparently, “old , out-dated” Constitutional process.

Naturally, those that agree with the President’s socialist agenda think that this is perfectly fine… after all, it bypasses those “obstructionist” Republicans that are attempting to do what their own constituents want them to do to stop the Obama Administration from continuing to take apart our whole Constitutional system, and take us further into socialism.

My question: assuming that one day we have another Republican president, will it therefore, be okay with you to bypass the Constitutional process, and hand down edicts that completely reverse everything that Progressives have done to damage our country? That would okay, right? That would be fair. OK, then, if and when it happens, I firmly expect you to sit down, and shut up… just like you are telling us to do now.

After all, fair is fair.

I’m Not Sitting Down and Shutting Up!

I get that secular humanists don’t like Christians. They find us so superstitious, after all, we believe in an invisible God, and we worship Him, essentially admitting that we are incapable of helping ourselves. After all, we need help from this “God” just to go to some place after death that they don’t even think exists. I mean, after all! Come on! Poor, pitiful people, they need to just sit down, shut up, and quit quoting that ancient, useless, Book of theirs!

That’s what they are saying today. Well, tough. I AM a Christian, and whether they like it or not, I believe the ENTIRE Bible. The Bible IS the unadulterated, pure, accurate Word of God! If it says homosexuality is a sin. Then guess what? It IS a sin! Your whining about it won’t change what it says. Furthermore, your whining about it won’t change the FACT that I believe the Bible!

I heard Bill O’Reilly last night say that Phil Robertson wasn’t “behaving like a Christian” because the Book of Luke says we are not to judge anyone. Well, first of all, Bill O’Reilly is not the person I would listen to for Biblical exegesis, but secondly, Phil Robertson, from A&E’s “Duck Dynasty” was not pointing to an individual person and saying, “THAT guy is a homosexual, and HE is NOT going to heaven!” All Phil said, was the accurate statement that THE BIBLE says that homosexuality is a sin. And, it does. Denying it won’t change it. Not saying it won’t change it. In fact, Phil when on IN THE SAME interview, and said that he was not a man’s judge, but God was. He said that he was going to “leave it all to God.” Well, good on you, Phil! BUT, O’Reilly is taking the same stand that the media at large has adopted… they have a specific agenda. O’Reilly even agreed in his discussion that “this was done to further their political cause.” What is that cause? To state emphatically that Bible believing Christians should sit down, shut up, and fade away! After all, THEY (the secular media) know better.

Well, check me out. I am not sitting down, and I am not shutting up. Deal with it!

Scientist Says Humans Came From the Mating of a Chimp and a Pig. No, Really!

If this had been posted on April 1st, it would be funny. But, no, it is a real news story. I guess he hasn’t read 1 Corinthians 15:39, “For all flesh is not the same, but there is one kind for humans, another for beasts, another for birds, and another for fish.” (Amplified Bible) This is sick stuff.

Scientist: Humans Evolved From Chimpanzee and Pig Mating

From The Christian Post – “Scientist and author Eugene M. McCarthy has proposed an hypothesis that humans evolved from a female chimpanzee and male pig mating. McCarthy reports, ‘Is it possible for a pig to hybridize with a chimpanzee? I have no way of knowing at present, but I have no logical or evidential basis for rejecting the idea.’

McCarthy’s hypothesis is shared at Macroevolution.net.

The science website Phys.org reports the hypothesis is worthy of further exploration.

The hypothesis is attracting interest from fellow science enthusiasts and bewilderment from the media. On Twitter vegetarians are comparing the eating of pigs to cannibalism.

@BigAddie responds with humor, ‘Okay, next time I hear, ‘Men are pigs,’ I’m going to reply, ‘Women are chimps.”

Although Answers in Genesis scientist David Menton disagrees with this hypothesis, he shows support for some of McCarthy’s research: ‘These hybridizing experiments he’s doing are of interest to us, because many species of animals could come from just one ‘kind,” (quote from WND).”

Giving Thanks This Year!

I posted this on Facebook this morning:

Our current government administration may have thrown Israel “under the bus” with the current Iran “If you like your nukes, you can keep them” initiative, but remember this quote this from when the foundation of the temple was laid in Jerusalem:

Ezr. 3:11 – “And they sang together by course in praising and giving thanks unto the LORD; because he is good, for his mercy endureth for ever toward Israel. And all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid.”

Give thanks, this Thanksgiving, that the mercy of the Lord is FOREVER toward Israel!

American Family Rights – We Must Protect Them!

I got this letter from the Family Research Council today… wow! This is important information!

2013 Campaign for the American Family

September 11, 2013

Dear Bill,

In the heart of the family-loving Bible Belt there is a law being proposed that would keep Bible-believing Christians from public office and from public works. Sound alarmist or extreme? I wish it were. It’s sadly and powerfully true.

The law I am talking about is not in some liberal bastion; it may go on the books in San Antonio, Texas. Extremist legal activism must be stopped. You can be sure that Eric Holder’s Justice Department won’t stop it. They will defend it because it is biased in favor of the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) community.

Here’s what the June Supreme Court decisions on the Defense of Marriage Act and California’s traditional marriage amendment may mean for your family:

  • The rights of traditional American families like yours may be subject to hate crime laws and discrimination fines and restrictions if you express and advocate traditional Judeo-Christian views on marriage, gender, and faith.
  • Your pastor and church may be subject to legal challenges and fines because of their biblical view of marriage and gender.
  • Your rights at work are likely to be severely curtailed by pro-LGBT rulings and government indictments.
  • Your children’s rights at school will be under even more attack than before — even though most of the restrictions placed on them are unconstitutional and therefore illegal.

Information on the Campaign – Click HERE!

At the same time, I want to encourage you: Biblical marriage is not a lost cause in Americaunless we give up and let the same-sex activists win because we failed to stand up for what is right. Marriage is still between one man and one woman in 37 states, and we are not raising a white flag to the LGBT lobby.

FRC has unparalleled access and personal friendships with conservative, value-driven leaders in America. Events like our Values Voter Summit in Washington next month bring together the most influential voices for America’s historic empowering values.

We are counting on your support of Family Research Council’s American Family Campaign.

We are still $2.6 million short of our September 30 need. This is no arbitrary date: it marks the end of our financial year and we must end the year with all of our bills paid or our impact will be compromised.

Every dollar you give to help FRC defend your values will be DOUBLED — matched dollar for dollar up to $300,000 — by few generous friends of the Family Research Council.

With your help, FRC will continue to challenge, counter, and even help prevent more attacks on the American family.

Thank you for standing up for America’s families!

Standing (Ephesians 6:13),

A New Top-Level Internet Domain Name is Coming in 2015!

As new TLDs (Top-Level Domains) become available, it is nice to see Christians are getting in on the new naming trend!

Dot-Bible Takes Scripture From Gutenberg to Google

“With fewer and fewer domain names available, American Bible Society will facilitate the addition of countless Web addresses by releasing the .BIBLE top-level domain (TLD), making the message of the Bible even more accessible to people in a way that best fits their digital lives.

Upon finalizing a contract with the International Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), American Bible Society will have the rights to operate the .BIBLE TLD. The addition of the .BIBLE TLD will accelerate global online Bible access and facilitate engagement in ways not previously possible.

‘The goal of making the Bible more accessible has inspired innovation since the 1400s when the printing press was created, so it is not surprising that the Bible would continue to be pushing progress,’ said Scott Wennermark, director of strategic advancement for American Bible Society. ‘The .BIBLE top-level domain will allow American Bible Society to increase the availability of Bibleresources and expand the reach of Scripture in new and relevant ways.’

The .BIBLE domain names are anticipated to become available in 2015. ICANN is currently finalizing the steps of the expansion program, and as soon as the process is completed, American Bible Society and its supporting partners will finalize preparations for launching .BIBLE.

American Bible Society intends to make .BIBLE domain names available to individuals and groups who have a healthy respect for the Bible.

‘This is the Bible’s moment to move from Gutenberg to Google,’ adds Doug Birdsall, American Bible Society president. ‘I can think of no better way to signal to today’s generations that the Bible is wide open for a bold and promising future.'”

Your Kids DO Have Freedom of Religion in Their Schools!

This is a letter from Dr. Steve and Kellie Swisher:

Hello Partners and Friends,

We have had such a great response to our recent ‘Religious Freedom in America’s Schools’ article as featured in the July Believer’s Voice of Victory magazine. Our team is so happy that this article has been encouraging, informative and helpful in both motivating and mobilizing individuals and churches to get involved in protecting religious freedom in their communities.

So many requests have come in asking to reprint the article and the seven guidelines from the U.S. Department of Education that we’ve decided to make them available to you online so you can easily print and distribute the information.

If we may be of help don’t hesitate to contact us via this website, and be watching for our upcoming Web event with Secretary Arne Duncan and Director Brenda Girton-Mitchell from the Department of Education in Washington, D.C.

Seven Guidelines for Religious Freedom

1) Students may pray, talk about their faith and read their Bibles in school.
2) Students can organize prayer or Bible groups with fellow students and announce their meetings.
3) Students can express their faith in their class work and homework.
4) Teachers and school administrative personnel can organize prayer groups with their colleagues.
5) Students may go off campus for Bible studies during school hours, if approved in advance.
6) Students can express their faith at school events.
7) Students can express their faith at graduation ceremonies.

We encourage you to print these guidelines and share them with as many people as possible.

Here are three great places to start:
1) Contact your local school board to make sure they are aware of these guidelines.
2) Contact the parent/teacher organization at your child’s school and share this information with them.
3) Make sure your pastor is aware of these guidelines, too.

We send our prayers and blessings to you and those you love,

Steve and Kellie
