The Bible Isn’t Part of Christian Belief? What?!

Christian Life Issues
I am a supporter of the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) and Jay Sekulow sent this email out recently: "Bill, It's a case that could devastate religious freedom in the military. A Marine was ordered to remove a Bible verse from her desk because her commanding officer "didn't like their tone." The officer forcibly removed the verse, cursed at the Bible (with profanity I won't repeat), and had her court martialed. The verse? "No weapon formed against me shall prosper." (Isaiah 54:17) Unbelievably, a military court held that this verse was based on "subjective beliefs" and not "part of a religious belief system." That's right; the Bible isn't part of being a Christian. This is intolerable. If it stands, this ruling could eviscerate religious freedom in the military.…

God Knows What True Marriage Is

Christian Political Views
God's Word declares that marriage is between a man an a woman. Jesus, Himself, said: Mark 10:6-9 - "But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder." But, to the world, it does not matter what God says, or what His Word says, it is all about what the Supreme Court says. I submit to you that no matter what the Supreme Court of the United States says, it will not matter one whit to God. He will have the "last word."…

Send Obama a Message!

Christian Life Issues
This Charisma Magazine article offers some hope that we can send a message that Christians aren't "less-than-loving," or "extremists." One Way to Stop Obama's Attacks on Christianity "At an Easter Prayer Breakfast, President Obama attacked Christians. He called Christians 'less-than-loving.' He did it surrounding the day Christians celebrate the ultimate gift of love—the day Christ died because He loved us. It's offensive and uncalled for. But this isn't the first time he's insulted Christians. At the National Prayer Breakfast earlier this year, he demanded Christians get off their 'high horse' about Christian persecution. And his Administration has labeled Christians in the military as 'extremists.' We're fighting back—defending Christians—demanding President Obama apologize. Add your name to our open letter: Mr. President, Christians aren't 'extremists.' We aren't unloving. We're not on a…

So-Called Christian Leaders Embrace Gay Lifestyle

Christian Life Issues
The Bible is plain on a homosexual lifestyle. It is sin. God calls it an abomination. But a recent article about a "Christian author" that appeared on Oprah, said of the homosexual lifestyle: "I think culture is already there and the church will continue to be even more irrelevant when it quotes letters from 2,000 years ago as their best defense, when you have in front of you flesh-and-blood people who are your brothers and sisters and aunts and uncles and co-workers and neighbors and they love each other and just want to go through life with someone." Excuse me? What you call "irrelevant letters from 2,000 years ago," I call the HOLY BIBLE! If you don't believe in God, or His Word, and the truth that is contained therein...…

Liberals Ignore the Word, Promote Premarital Sex

Christian Political Views
An article from the Family Research Council: "Let's Cut to the Chaste! It wasn't enough for liberals to demand free birth control for adults. Now, the Left is gearing up for an even bigger sales pitch -- for young girls. America's daughters are the next stop on Congress's high-speed train of sexual irresponsibility, thanks to a new study from the Washington University School of Medicine. Researchers there insist that if teenage girls had access to free birth control implants like IUDs and hormones, the pregnancy rate would nosedive. 'When costs are removed, young people and families will use these effective methods,' said Dr. Mary Ott of Indiana University. Like the American Academy of Pediatrics, which just threw its support behind these more invasive kinds of contraception for kids, Ott is…

Denomination Calls for Gay Marriage!

Christian Life Issues
I got this email from our friends at NC Values Coalition: "What would you say if I told you that an entire denomination purporting to hold to Christian teachings has filed suit to force same-sex marriage on North Carolina? Well, that's exactly what happened today. The United Church of Christ, several members of the clergy, and 6 same-sex couples have filed suit in federal district court in Charlotte seeking to overturn North Carolina's marriage laws, so that same-sex couples can get married in the church—of all places! The North Carolina Values Coalition is on the front lines of this battle. We have been answering calls from the press all day today, but we need your help to continue fighting! [http://ncvalues.org/donate/] This is the third lawsuit filed since August of last…

The Clear Line

Christian Life Issues
As a Bible teacher, I find that there is a clear line between judging a person, and judging doctrine. I am not to judge another, but I can judge doctrine (teaching.) In fact, if someone is not preaching sound Biblical doctrine, the Bible tells me to "mark them," and avoid them. That is not judging them as a person, that is an admonition to others to keep them safe. The Amplified Bible says: "I appeal to you, brethren, to be on your guard concerning those who create dissensions and difficulties and cause divisions, in opposition to the doctrine (the teaching) which you have been taught. [I warn you to turn aside from them, to] avoid them." (Romans 16:17 AMP) As a "for instance," Joseph Prince is the primary teacher in…

An Admonition on “Greasy Grace” Teaching…

Christian Life Issues
No matter how big, or well known, a ministry is, no matter what explanation may be attempted; the "Hyper-Grace," or, as I call it, the "Greasy Grace" doctrine that is invading the church today, can not be excused, and can not be explained away as "benign." It is, simply, a doctrine of devils, and should be rejected completely. Shake the dust off your feet, and leave it alone.

Merely an Observation…

Christian Life Issues
To my liberal friends, a simple observation: The President recently said that if the Republicans (essentially) don't support his agenda, then he would have no choice but to continue to use Executive privilege to usurp the Constitutional process and enforce what amounts to "royal edits" that over-ride, and bypass, laws that have been enacted through the, apparently, "old , out-dated" Constitutional process. Naturally, those that agree with the President's socialist agenda think that this is perfectly fine... after all, it bypasses those "obstructionist" Republicans that are attempting to do what their own constituents want them to do to stop the Obama Administration from continuing to take apart our whole Constitutional system, and take us further into socialism. My question: assuming that one day we have another Republican president, will it…

I’m Not Sitting Down and Shutting Up!

Christian Life Issues, Christian Political Views
I get that secular humanists don't like Christians. They find us so superstitious, after all, we believe in an invisible God, and we worship Him, essentially admitting that we are incapable of helping ourselves. After all, we need help from this "God" just to go to some place after death that they don't even think exists. I mean, after all! Come on! Poor, pitiful people, they need to just sit down, shut up, and quit quoting that ancient, useless, Book of theirs! That's what they are saying today. Well, tough. I AM a Christian, and whether they like it or not, I believe the ENTIRE Bible. The Bible IS the unadulterated, pure, accurate Word of God! If it says homosexuality is a sin. Then guess what? It IS a sin!…
