Giving Thanks This Year!

Christian Life Issues
I posted this on Facebook this morning: Our current government administration may have thrown Israel "under the bus" with the current Iran "If you like your nukes, you can keep them" initiative, but remember this quote this from when the foundation of the temple was laid in Jerusalem: Ezr. 3:11 - "And they sang together by course in praising and giving thanks unto the LORD; because he is good, for his mercy endureth for ever toward Israel. And all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid." Give thanks, this Thanksgiving, that the mercy of the Lord is FOREVER toward Israel!

A New Top-Level Internet Domain Name is Coming in 2015!

Christian Life Issues
As new TLDs (Top-Level Domains) become available, it is nice to see Christians are getting in on the new naming trend! Dot-Bible Takes Scripture From Gutenberg to Google "With fewer and fewer domain names available, American Bible Society will facilitate the addition of countless Web addresses by releasing the .BIBLE top-level domain (TLD), making the message of the Bible even more accessible to people in a way that best fits their digital lives. Upon finalizing a contract with the International Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), American Bible Society will have the rights to operate the .BIBLE TLD. The addition of the .BIBLE TLD will accelerate global online Bible access and facilitate engagement in ways not previously possible. 'The goal of making the Bible more accessible has inspired innovation…

Vote Based on TRUTH, not Personalities!

Christian Life Issues
There is an interesting scripture in 1 Corinthians 3:1-6 1 "And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. 2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. 3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men? 4 For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal? 5 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man? 6 I have planted, Apollos watered;…

Billy Graham’s Statement on NC Amendment One!

Christian Life Issues, Christian Political Views
This is a tremendous blessing! Dr. Graham has such a tremendous reputation, and has a long standing status of a kind, loving concern for people... physically and spiritually! This should go a LONG way toward reassuring people that the falsehoods that have been propagated against the amendment, are just that... false statements that are designed to instill fear!

Atheists Form a Support Group for Non-Believing Pastors

Christian Life Issues
Yes, you read that headline right. Claiming that "it is nearly impossible" for clergy to leave their faith and their jobs, the founders, Richard Dawkins, and Dan Barker, are offering a "true sanctuary, a congregation of those of us who have replaced faith and dogma with reason and human well-being." Why would it be hard to leave the clergy if you don't believe? If you don't believe, wouldn't you be engaging in a woeful waste of time? If you had been a believer, and knew that not believing would mark you for a devil's hell, now that you no longer believe, wouldn't it be easy? I mean, what do you have to lose now... other than eternal life in heaven. Oh yeah, that. Well, OK, but now you don't believe…

God’s Word: The Universal Constant!

Christian Life Issues
Joel Osteen, recently was a guest on "Piers Morgan Tonight," on CNN. Morgan pressed him to renounce the truths of the Bible with regard to what the Bible says about homosexuality. Pastor Osteen, praise God, stuck with the Word of God, saying that 200 years from now, the Bible will still say that homosexuality is a sin. "But shouldn't the Scripture be dragged kicking and screaming into the modern age?" Morgan said. "Not really everything in the Scripture is, in my view, conducive to modern life. Like everything else, doesn't it have to move with the times?" It always amazes me that people think that the Bible should "change" to reflect the times. I realize that this thinking is based in their ignorance of God's Word, but, it would seem…

About Tomorrow!

Christian Life Issues
Concerning the Last Days, and the "end of the world" prediction that is going around and being advertised widely right now, remember that THE BIBLE says that, "But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only." (Matthew 24:36) The Amplified Bible is even more clear, "But of that [exact] day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father." (Matthew 24:36, Amplified) My real concern, in listening to people talk about this, is that when tomorrow (May 21, 2011) comes, and goes, that they will not get discouraged, or lose faith. Don't be troubled by cults, and false prophets! 2 Thess. 2:1,2 "Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of…

Confusion in Today’s Church!

Christian Life Issues
Let's start with a few simple rules. God is right. He knows what He is doing. He is not confused. He wrote down THE TRUTH in a book we call "The Holy Bible." If you are confused about what is TRUE, then go find out what God spoke out of His own mouth (that is, The Holy Bible.) The Bible says itself that God spoke it out of his own mouth, and that holy men of old then wrote it down. (2 Peter 1:20, 21) Now, given that, why are some that claim that they are Christians so confused about who will be saved, and go to Heaven? Why are there some that deny that there is a literal place called "Hell?" Jesus believed in Hell, Jesus spoke about Hell,…
